Brian McSparron is coming into his 4th year as the Head Coach of the GT Hockey Team. Prior to serving as head coach, Coach McSparron, was the Assistant Coach of the GT Hockey Team from 1998-2003. After stepping away to start a family in 2003, Coach McSparron was honored to be asked to coached the team after long time tendered coach, Coach Stathis passed away. In his first year, he coached the 2008 team to a 22-2 record and 2nd place in the South Region and taking them to the National Championship Tournment. In the last 3 years, the GT Hockey team has been very competitive, having also won 2 Savannah Tire Tournments and the Ingural Columbus Clash, under Coach McSparron. He is married, with 2 children and is a Special Education Teacher by trade.

Paul Gattung has been a USA Hockey member for 35 yrs. as both a player for Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a coach for 19-U Travel teams in St Louis Metro, Southwest Texas, and Atlanta Metro areas; attaining a USA Hockey Level 4 Advanced Coach certification in 2002. Coach Gattung starts his 9th yr. with Georgia Tech Hockey Club and has served as: JV Head Coach, Jr. 'Jackets, 2003 – 06; Varsity Practice Coach, GT Yellow Jackets, 2003 – 04; Ass't. Coach, GT Yellow Jackets, 2004 – 07; Assoc. Coach / General Manager, GT Yellow Jackets, 2007 – 2012; while helping to lead the Yellow Jackets to three ACHA National Tournament appearances and four Thrasher Cup Championships.

Coach Branicki returns for his second season as the Georgia Tech. Yellow Jackets Assistant Coach after a successful first year winning the Thrasher Cup and Columbus Clash. A native of Edmonton Alberta, Canada he brings over 20 years of experience and knowledge as a former player and coach.

After having an outstanding junior career, he received a Division 1 scholarship to the University of Alaska, Anchorage where he saw ice time as freshman defensemen. He was part of a team that reached a Top 20 National ranking and winners of the Nissan/Jeep Classic. After his sophomore season, he transferred to Wisconsin-Superior where he was part of the foundation of a winning tradition. Reaching and winning the Conference Championship and helping take the team to back to back NCAA Frozen Four Tournaments appearances. In addition, he has managed and conducted numerous hockey camps and power skating schools. Tom resides in Smyrna, GA with his wife and two children.

Coach John Maxwell enters his second season as an Assistant Coach with the Yellow Jackets for 2011-2012. A Michigan native with with twenty-four years of coaching experience, Maxwell was a member of the Michigan Hockey Association for eight years. His hockey accomplishments include regional championships, state tournament play, and the North American International Silver Stick Tournament. He was also a member of the International Hockey League during the 1980s and is a long-standing member of the USA Hockey Association.

After relocating to the metro Atlanta area in 1995, Maxwell continued his successful coaching career as head coach at Milton High School, Milton, GA for three seasons before joining the Yellow Jackets in 2010.

Coach Maxwell lives with his wife Laura, and his son Grant in Forsyth County. He is a full-time, Georgia-licensed general contractor with more than 30 years of home and commercial construction experience.
